Hi, I'm Nicola
A Gunn High School alum and Yale Engineering graduate, I've dedicated my career to helping students of all ages navigate the world of mathematics. With a focus on a friendly, interactive teaching approach, I apply a specialized multisensory program to fortify concepts and remediate any knowledge gaps. My goal is to make math a subject of enjoyment and success for all students. Whether you need help with fractions or want to master calculus, I would love to work with you!
My Approach
I have the privilege of handling every aspect of my students' tutoring experience, and I'm not beholden to anyone's administrative priorities, allowing me to completely focus on what is best for each student's mathematics education.
Tailored Tutoring
All of my students are unique! My approach is adaptable: Instead of strictly following a prescribed method, I pay attention to what works for individual learners. The result is an engaging environment which students don't dread coming to.
Holistic Methodology
My number one priority is seeing my students succeed, and not just in mathematics. In addition to teaching math, I've supported students as an advisor for much of my career. I've also written many a letter of recommendation for my longtime students.
Local Roots
I've spent most of my life on the Peninsula, and I'm a product of the Palo Alto school system myself. My deep working knowledge of local curriculums allows me to keep students prepared for what they will see next.
