"When Nicola began tutoring our dyslexic son, he was struggling in math, and was feeling defeated and 'stupid'. Within one month of tutoring, Nicola met with us to inform us that our son was definitely not 'stupid', but in fact had a very astute math mind and that he was able to absorb and learn quickly and thoroughly while working with her. We made a school change shortly after that time, and to our surprise, our son began to thrive in his math classes, and, in fact, by his senior year took two AP math courses and is now about to start his master's program in electrical and computer engineering! Nicola has the ability to turn a kid around with her patient, insightful, intuitive ability to build knowledge and confidence in Math. I have no doubt in my mind that she was the spark and the genesis of his new trajectory. What an amazing gift!"

"Nicola was a godsend for our daughter who needed considerable math tutoring support in middle school and benefitted from the one-on-one guidance. Nicola had a wonderful rapport with our daughter, made her feel comfortable and calm, and most importantly, approached math lessons with her in ways that Mac could really connect with and process as a kid with ADHD, dyslexia, and dyscalculia. We appreciate that Nicola used the Making Math Real approach which resonated with our daughter's needs and understanding. Nicola is an experienced educator who is able to work with children's math support needs across a wide spectrum of abilities. We would recommend her to any parent seeking math tutoring for their child."

"As a young dyslexic child, math did not come as easily to me as some of my classmates. Watching my peers excel, I was convinced that I “hated math” and it was not for me. I would often confuse variables and was struggling with a lot of the major concepts. Working with Nicola not only drastically advanced my understanding but made math fun! I started to enjoy and thrive in a subject which I had once dreaded. At a young age she taught me multiplication and division through creative methods like card games. Tutoring sessions became something I would look forward to and my confidence in class improved exponentially. I continued to work with Nicola throughout high school and she helped me grasp new concepts and hone testing strategies that I still use today in my STEM major. I would not be where I am today without Nicola and most importantly she changed my perception of math and my own capabilities."
